What Huberman said
Huberman notes that many people rely on THC and/or CBD, especially edibles, to fall asleep, and says some of those compounds have an anxiety-lowering effect. He says THC (like alcohol) produces sleep architecture that is suboptimal.
Cautions he mentions
- The architecture of sleep with THC or alcohol is suboptimal compared to sleep without them.[1]
Safety notes from independent sources
- The UK Food Standards Agency (England, Wales and Northern Ireland) advises healthy adults to limit CBD from food to 10 mg a day. As a precaution it does not recommend CBD for under-18s, anyone taking any medication, or people trying to conceive, pregnant or breastfeeding, unless under medical direction.
