Phenylethylamine (PEA)
Also called beta-phenylethylamine, phenethylamine
What Huberman said
Huberman says PEA gives a sharp but very transient dopamine increase (about 30 to 45 minutes) and that he takes it from time to time, around 500 mg and often with 300 mg alpha-GPC, before intense work bouts. His stance moved from not having tried it (March 2021) to using 300 to 600 mg (2022) and, in January 2023, saying he relies on PEA rather than L-tyrosine for dopamine augmentation.
