Magnesium Malate
What Huberman said
Relaying Dr. Andy Galpin's recovery recommendations, Huberman says vitamin D and, in some cases, magnesium malate belong with omega-3s, and that magnesium malate seems particularly effective in offsetting delayed-onset muscle soreness.
Safety notes from independent sources
- The US upper limit for magnesium from supplements is 350 mg a day for adults (EFSA's is 250 mg). The risk of too much magnesium is higher if your kidneys don't work well, so check with your doctor first if you have kidney disease. NIH ODS: Magnesium
